Receives Partial Victory in Trademark Lawsuit Filed by Bose

Indianapolis, Ind. The Custom Electronic Design and
Installation Association (CEDIA) has received a partial
victory in its battle with Bose Corporation in the United
States Patent and Trademark Office, Trademark Trial and
Appeal Board over CEDIAs federal trademark registrations
in the mark Electronic Lifestyles. Bose Corporation
sued to cancel CEDIAs four trademarks last year, claiming
that CEDIAs Electronic Lifestyles mark
was likely to cause confusion with Boses trademark
registrations for the term Lifestyle, under
which Bose markets a line of loudspeakers and music systems.

Optix, Inc. Receives $1.1 Million In Series A Funding

Cambridge, Massachusetts, January 31 - Fusion Optix, Inc.
announced today closure on a Series A funding round totaling
$1.1 million. The investment has been provided by a prominent
group of independent private equity investors from Boston
and Philadelphia. This investment follows a seed-funding
round completed in April 2004 provided by the company's
founders and Thomas Eagar, the Thomas Lord Professor of
Materials Systems and Engineering at MIT. Professor Eagar
also leads the Boston-based investment consortium and the
company's Scientific Advisory Board.
